How to play
You pass to a patch of grass
- You never pass to a player. Aim at open grass, and the ball belongs to whoever gets there first.
- Your carrier runs by himself, at the goal. A defender who catches him takes the ball; a dribble always ends.
- Touching anywhere buys seconds of slow motion. Drag to aim — the direction is the line, the distance is the power — and let go to play it. Let go inside the ring to cancel. Wait the clock out and the ball is played safe.
The marker
- Clear. Your player gets there first, with room.
- Contested. A coin flip — both arrive together.
- Lost. Theirs gets there first.
- A shot. The ball is going in.
- A queued touch. While a ball is in the air the same drag is the next touch: the ring is where it will be met, and the receiver plays it first time.
Shooting
Aim a ball at the goal and the world freezes for seconds. Drag up or down to bend it; the meter swings — let go to strike. The top % of the swing is a fireball. Wait the freeze out and the ball is played soft, straight and down the middle.
Penalties
Taking one: drag towards the goal and let go, inside seconds. Direction is everything — it is always struck flat out, and the keeper has already picked a side. Saving one: drag up or down to send your keeper along his line; no drag keeps him where he stands.
Scoring
One match against one club, minutes of pitch time. A goal pays , plus directness — up to for a ball that carried the move straight at the goal — plus tempo — up to for a move read in an instant — all times the finish: a fireball adds %, and a strike from range adds up to % more. A penalty pays the base alone. A goal against costs . At full time your pass accuracy is worth up to .
Pausing
Esc or the pause control stops the match and shows the match stats; the cover is the way back to the team sheet. Esc closes this card first.
